2026 Corsair Nationals in San Francisco Bay: It’s a Wrap!
What a Nationals!
We just wrapped up a fantastic event hosted by Encinal Yacht Club in Alameda, with 26 boats and 110 sailors. We had strong representation from Corsair owners and multihull crews from around the region, as well as from Southern California, Idaho, Nevada, Texas, Australia, and beyond.
We couldn’t be happier with the turnout.
Day 1 featured gentle South Bay racing with courses optimized for our multihulls. Day 2 was our iconic and scenic long-format race stretching across the Bay, with highly tactical, current-driven decisions throughout. Day 3 finished with a couple of Olympic triangles in Central Bay, giving everyone a classic Bay-racing finale.
Congratulations to all of our class winners and second-place finishers.
This year’s Nationals Champion is Humility, a Corsair Sprint 750 that performed fantastically well, despite coming all the way from Austin, Texas and not being a local boat.
We also had a very well-represented F-27 class, with Panacea from Boise, Idaho taking the win and Wingit in second. Moai, an 880 Sport, won the 880 class, followed by Breeze in an 880 Standard. In the Corsair Mixed Fleet, Ma’s Rover (F-31) was the winner. And last but not least, our Open Class saw Greyhound (an F22, and also the overall winner across all fleets) take the victory, followed by Soarin (a screaming-fast F-25C).
