SUMMARY:Jack Reacher Race & Raft-Up
DESCRIPTION:This is our annual fun event\, with a not-so-serious race around Treasure Island\, followed by a raft-up in Clipper Cove\, with food & drink to share.  The weather is usually delightful in September.  This event is a great opportunity to meet everybody out on the water for some good conversation\, good food and drink\, and get to see lots of boats in the fleet while you’re at it!

SUMMARY:Farallones Cruise
DESCRIPTION:We’re doing the BAMA Fall Farallones Cruise again this year\, on Sunday 9/28.  This is a great opportunity to get out to and around Southeast Farallon Island at the time of year with the gentlest conditions offshore\, with the benefit of sailing with other boats for safety\, in case anything were to happen along the way.  This is NOT a race.  We will gather up all boats near Alcatraz Island in the morning\, and then head out to the island and back again as a group\, motoring when needed to keep sufficient pace through the day to return back into the bay before sunset (our target is to re-enter the bay again by 6 PM).  Late September is a great time to head out there.  We usually have warmer weather\, calmer seas\, and there’s usually great wildlife viewing along the way\, with whales\, seals\, sunfish\, birds\, etc.
