SUMMARY:SSS Vallejo 2          SH/DH
DESCRIPTION:A unique two-day race\, featuring a singlehanded race downwind from the Berkeley Circle to Vallejo on Saturday\, and a doublehanded race back from Vallejo to Richmond Yacht Club on Sunday (but you can sail singlehanded both days if you want).  This race runs late in the season\, usually in lighter winds\, and there’s always a challenge involving the currents in San Pablo Bay and the Mare Island Strait.  The Vallejo Yacht Club hosts a party on Saturday evening and allows competitors to dock overnight.  They have room for multihulls up to about the F31 trimarans and smaller cruising cats\, but larger multihulls may need to stay at the municipal marina.

SUMMARY:SSS Round the Rocks      SH/DH
DESCRIPTION:One of the bigger races in the bay\, with 100+ entrants\, the SSS Round the Rocks race is a bay tour race going around some of the prominent “Rocks” in the bay.  From a start on the Berkeley Circle\, the race goes around Alcatraz\, Harding Rock\, the Brothers and Red Rock to a finish by the Richmond Yacht Club.

DESCRIPTION:The SSS Corinthian starts and finishes at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon\, and features a course going past Alcatraz to the Blossom Rock buoy\, up the cityfront to Alcatraz\, down to Southampton Shoal\, and then back to Tiburon via Harding Rock.  In addition to what are often challenging starts and finishes\, the race involves key decisions on which side to pass Alcatraz and Angel Island.

SUMMARY:SSS 3 Bridge Fiasco        SH/DH
DESCRIPTION:An annual favorite in the bay\, the SSS Three Bridge Fiasco is the biggest yacht race in the US west of the Mississippi River\, with 300+ boats every year.  The race is a pursuit race (slowest boats start first)\, starts and finishes on the city front at the Golden Gate Yacht Club\, and the course involves the Blackaller Buoy (by the Golden Gate Bridge)\, Yerba Buena Island/Treasure Island (Bay Bridge)\, and Red Rock (by the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge).  The marks can be rounded in any order and any direction\, providing the crazy appeal of this race.
